Sometimes real English is different to what we study in class. Watch this video, and see how real people talk about dates.
.... Yes!!: they just say the month and the ordinal number. Anyway, the form:THE (first/second/third/fourth /......th) of + MONTH is the usual way
example: THE TWENTY-FIRST OF MAY
or, sometimes, MONTH+ (the, optional) + first/second/third.....
example: MARCH (the) TWENTY-THIRD
By the way,
When is Amy´s birthday?
and Patti's?
and Joseph's?
and Debbie's?
